There are so many imrpov school and classes here in chicago. So why choose yes and Adventures? Have you every walked into a space where you immediately knew that the staff was just there for a check? Well, at Yes and Adventures our staff is here becasue we want to be. Founded by US Navy Veteran Whitney Randall Yes and Adventures became a safe haven for those in theater and performing arts. Whitney has two beautiful daughters who are both on the spectrum. Teaching her children emotional safety and vulnerability proved to be a great challange. However not on too big. She wanted to be able to have a space where her kids could thrive in an industry that is so rigerous, so cut throat, and so hard to truly grasp. But why stop with just her children? Why not give access to local children and veterans in need of a safe space to explore emotions? That is when the concept of yes and adventures was born.

Now safety was on Whitney's mind as she began to develope these courses."How are we to keep the children safe and still be inclusive?" Was her question. The solution? Detailed age groups for the visits. At Yes and Adventures, the age brakets for these classes range from 7-9 years, 10-13 years, and 14-18 years. Then we have our young adult classes for 19-25years of age, then our adult classes that are for 26 and up. seperating the ages like this allows for more intimate teaching settings with targeted material for that specific age group keeping certain themes that younger ones shouldnt be learning away from them and giving the older space the freedom to be as wonderful as they allow. Although, at Second city classes may have the nutorious name backing it, parents do still have to deal with classes that lump kids of all ages together. The style for Yes and adventures allows for in depth monitoring and detailed instruction which improves class safety and class knowledge retention.

Now I know what you are asking yourself, this has nothing to do with the name.

SO what is in a name? Whitney has always had a passion for adventure.

Yes and Adventures is a tribute to just that. After redefining herself she has realized life is worth living for the adventure
